Phi Beta Asia is a program run by Phi Beta Dingo Pty. Ltd. Phi Beta Dingo started operations in Australia in May, 2005 to fill a niche in the educational travel market. From extensive research and feedback from University professors in the U.S. we learned that they found it difficult to locate organizations that would assist them in setting up full, customized academic and travel itineraries for student groups on faculty led short course experiences.
Faculty from many fields of study; from nursing, business and management information systems; to engineering, political science and photography; encountered similar challenges in setting up the arrangements for short courses for groups of their students.
Complete travel management throughout
Phi Beta Asia can manage all your travel and meeting arrangements throughout the short course in Asia. We make designing these courses especially smooth for faculty leaders and administration, as you only need to deal with Phi Beta Asia for all details of the course. From accommodation and logistics, to optional activities, included excursions and company meetings.
We work with the faculty leaders and administration months in advance to design and research the ideal short course itinerary. We are able to build all travel arrangements around the backbone of meetings that we set up, and faculty led classes. Phi Beta Asia offers an exceptional short course experience by combining quality meetings based around core academic content that creates the optimum blend of learning, research, cultural immersion and above all fun, for both faculty leaders and student groups.
Phi Beta Asia advises groups over 14 students or travelling to more than one city, to be accompanied by one of our travel support staff.
Designing courses to meet your educational needs
We design each short course from scratch. There is no basic pattern or template that faculty leaders must adhere to. This allows us to work with each group of faculty leaders to build the exact balance of academic and cultural experience into each short course.
You simply tell us who you would like to visit (or we can suggest); where you would like to travel to; how long you wish to travel for; and any set arrangements that the short course must adhere to. Phi Beta Asia will then fully research possible itineraries alongside faculty leaders, to make sure that every requirement is fulfilled, both academically and culturally.
We draw on our experience within Asia to customise your short course while letting the faculty leaders stay away from basic travel arrangements and concentrate on making sure we're fullfilling the course content. This allows faculty leaders to not only relax and continue teaching before the trip, but also allows them to relax, enjoy the short course itself and experience new people and places during the course.
We have found this to be an extremely beneficial arrangement, as faculty leaders are able to concentrate fully on the academic portion of the short course, without having to worry about organising students and other day to day logistics. In effect, they are able to do what faculty to do best; research and teaching.
