Activities are an essential part of every short course. Both inclusive and optional activities need to be carefully balanced to give each student group a well rounded short course experience.

Phi Beta Asia works with Universities to schedule any and all of the following to get the right blend of outings:
• cultural tours
• historical sites
• theatrical performances
• art museums
• adventure activities
• community programs
• optional excursions

The activities are scheduled and designed to enhance the travel experience and the learning process. We also help to determine which events the University and faculty would like to see included for the entire group and which activities should be optional for purchase by students who elect to take part in other activities in their spare time.

Each itinerary can be developed to include some of following group excursions, depending on the itinerary:
• the Great Wall of China
• temples in Nepal
• the Taj Mahal
• the Indian Diwali Festival, the festival of lights
• a lesson in blow pipe hunting in Sarawak, Borneo
• world leading finanical institutions in Hong Kong
• the Namdaemun Gate in South Korea
• the "Spice Island" of Makulu, Indonesia

Optional activities will also be made available as the itinerary is fully developed. During periods of free time on the itinerary, Phi Beta Asia arranges for tour operators to offer optional excursion packages to students and faculty for individual purchase. Everything from a day of horseback riding on the Mongolian planes to a belly dancing day complete with henna paintings in India, can be offered as optional extras.
